Selfridges II - we're staying!

As most of you will know, what with us twooting more frequently than a chatty owl, we've been involed with Selfridges Local Food Heroes these past few weeks. We thought it was rather fitting, what with us being local, making food, and being, well, total heroes (modesty not a strong point).

If you came by, tried some pie and had a little natter - thank you! We had a smashing time too.If you didn't, you missed out on a bit of this:

Mybe it's the good times, maybe it's the moonlight, or maybe it's the boogie, but whatever the reason, the wonderful people at Selfridges are keeping us on! We're pleased as punch, we can tell you. Timmy's Pies; available in Selfridges Food Hall.

Nature Notes: The Bourbon Tree of West London

It started as hushed whispers, as tall tales overheard in the wine bars of Chiswick and Richmond.

We laughed at the thought, and looked on in pity at the grisled, mad-eyed husks of men, driven out of their minds in the search for it. The fabled "Bourbon Tree" of West London was just that, a fable.

Until one day, we shall call it Tuesday, while lost in the rough-and-tumble back streets of Shepherds Bush, we happened across it.... As was writ, it stood there majestic and proud, and crumbly biscuits did tumble from its boughs.

We have been sworn to secrecy by the shadowy cabal of warriors that protects it's true location, but they did allow us one single photo on our googly-phone, so here it is. Behold, disbelievers, and tremble.

We're in Selfridges!

Those lovely chaps at Selfridges Food Hall are having a Local Heroes month with all sorts of cracking London food producers, and they've asked us along! Needless to say, we were in there like a ferret up a drain pipe. These are the flavours we've got on offer:

• Pork & apple
• Brookfield Farm veal, lemon & sage stuffing & parsley bechamel
• Apple-wood smoked bacon & egg
• Slow roast pork & rhubarb
• Homity pie (v)
• Venison, stout & prune

And of course we're sampling our little socks off. This week Timmy will be in store Friday 12-3 and Saturday 12-4. Drop by and say hullo. He will look something like this*:

Craft Beer and a Timmy's Pie - the stuff of pub dreams

Good news Pie-and-Craft-Beer-Fans!

We're now the proud pie partners of The Craft Beer Co in Islington, and the Cask Pub and Kitchen in Pimlico. Fine purveyors of craft ales, keg beers, and bottles from the best breweries in the UK, Europe, America and The Universe. You can find us at the bar - but be quick - those little pies have been selling faster than we can make them.

And no wonder. For what could be better than a properly good pint and a pie? A classic duo. Like Batman and Robin. Hobie and Mitch Buchannon. Rainbow Bright and her rainbow-maned horse friend we can't remember the name of.

It's cold. It's snowing. The pie wagon's lying under, literally, a sprinkle of powder. We make that Pie Weather. 

Mmmmmm... Cottage Pie Pie.

If this starts in the morning, it will be a pie-shaped miracle. 

Happy New Year: Happy New Pies

Hullo and Happy New Year pie fans. Having finally eaten all the satsumas in the Western world, kicked a serious pigs-in-blankets addiction and straightened out our businesses accounts, we're back in the kitchen and doing what we do best.

We've only gone and invented a new veggie flavour: 3 mushroom cobbler pie, with field, chestnut and porchini mushrooms, spinach and a cracked pepper scone topping. Topping!

Last chance to try: Pot roast pheasant is coming to an end as the season closes, get 'em while they're still about!

Behold, the wonder that is The Watermelon Beanie. Knitted by the fair hands of our newest pie-fan, Liana Chang.

Tim was so delighted that a). he hasn't taken it off since, and b). we sent an enormous bag of pies to deepest Shoreditch as thanks.
